Dear Prospective Employer,
I am enthusiastic about teaching English in Korea?. I am currently employed as the Makerspace Coordinator at Asia Pacific International School in Seoul. The experiences and skills I have gained and developed at this position along with my previous work history and experience in education make me an ideal candidate for teaching in Korea.
As Makerspace Coordinator and homeschool teacher I have created unique lessons to fit the needs of the students and have worked with every age group, Elementary through High School. This has given me a myriad of skills needed to teach and manage any classroom or one on one situation.
My many years of coaching robotics have allowed me to work with students who come in with a wide range of abilities and knowledge. Adjusting activities and lessons to comport with the differing skills each student brought was a daily necessity. It required the willingness and ability to change plans at a moment’s notice and most of all, patience.

Currently I am working as a robotics teacher and subsitute teacher among other duties at Asia Pacific International School in Nowon-gu. I have been there since August 2017. Another job I do there has been the development of lessons for elementary classrooms that incorporate Maker and STEM technology and ideas. This also requires me to be in the classroom putting those lessons into practice.
Before working at Asia Pacific International School I had a few other education positions. I had served as a First Lego League coach from 2012-2017. In addition to that, I have nearly ten years of teaching experience as a homeschool teacher of my own two sons. I was their primary teacher as they did not attend school.
