강사 소개

My name is Jacqueline.  I am an American Citizen. I was born and raised in Iowa. My family moved to Oklahoma where my six children grew up. My divorced husband is deceased.

I came to Korea to teach English, to be a positive influence and make a Positive Difference. I am presently seeking out all options available to me and believing that the Lord will show me the door He wants me to go through. I love teaching children; especially the Kindergarteners. They are so awesome and hungry to learn.  I am seeking a position in an elementary school. I know that many of the elementary schools also have small kindergartens attached. I would be thrilled to be able to also work with their “Kindies”

I have been teaching English in Korea for 3 years now. I find that as I am teaching I am learning too. I am learning the Korean language, it is not easy, but as I work to learn the language I am gaining an understanding of how to teach my Korean students. I am learning about the Korean people themselves. I love teaching English. I love teaching in Korea and I love Korea.

While preparing to come to Korea, I worked as a “substitute teacher in the local elementary and high schools in Oklahoma. Before that I worked as a tutor in the University Writing Lab assisting International students with their essays or assignments while working on my TESOL Masters.  Then during my practicum, I tutored EFL students in a local high school.  During my tenure with the Middle Eastern American Association I tutored Iraqi mothers wanting to learn English.

I completed a Masters of Education in Instructional Technology and Curriculum in 2007.  I am in the process of and completing the final paperwork for my Masters of Education in TESOL.

I have worked at my present job for over 15 months. I have been told that there should be no problem transferring to a different educational program.

I am seeking a position in the Busan area. Although I feel very young, my birth year is before 1955. With a “change of employment Visa” on my passport and an update of my E2 visa I worked in Incheon this past year.  I have always completed my contracts. My employer has assurered me it will be easy to get a release letter for a change of employment.

Thank you
