I have a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Anthropology as well asReligion (graduated cum laude), and have earned a 100 hour TEFL Certificate. Asa highly compassionate and approachable teaching professional, with over 5years hands-on experience with children, I am confident in my ability to becomea valuable member of your teaching staff.

Being a versatile educator, I have taken the opportunity to instructa wide variety of students from various backgrounds and all facets of society.As a result, I am an open-minded teacher, who remains sensitive to children'sunique needs, employs effective listening, provides individual and whole groupsupport, integrates multicultural teaching units, and offers positiveencouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated.

     One of the mosteffective ways that I assist ESL students is by developing and presentingcomprehensible and stimulating lesson plans that facilitate all learningstyles. I research, locate, and incorporate a variety of resources toaccommodate students via visual, audio, tactile, and kinesthetic methods. Inaddition, I integrate literature, Writers’ Workshop, phonics activities, andtechnology to ensure that each child is able to comprehend and retain theconcepts and language. My goal is to foster and maintain an open, honest,communicative, and supportive classroom, in which each student feels safe,secure, special, and appropriately challenged.
