강사 소개 | I am interested in applying for a full time teaching position in Korea. I feel I am an ideal candidate for this position as I enjoy working with children and have a degree which enables me to apply it to this position. Through my experience working with children and youth of all ages, I have learned to be patient and understanding, as well as open-minded and organized. I have further developed my communication skills by dealing with people from diverse backgrounds. In addition, I love to educate myself about new cultures and different ways of life. English is my first language, and I currently teach in Seoul, Korea. I had the pleasure to teach elementary students how to read, write, and speak in English. It was a rewarding experience and I enjoyed every moment of it. I learned a lot regarding Korean culture and even acquired basic skills in the Korean language. Before coming to Korea, I had the opportunity to teach ESL to children in Ontario, Canada. As an English language assistant, I developed excellent time management skills by creating my own lesson plans, and was able to acknowledge the students needs. Furthermore, I believe that as an English teacher in Korea, an important role is played in contributing to Korean society. Thank you for considering me. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. |

경력사항 | Teacher, ECC Plus YBM- Seoul, South Korea November 2013-Present • Taught over thirty hours per week to students ranging from kindergarten to grade seven. Students were exceptionally gifted and endured an exacting curriculum. • Subjects taught: math, phonics, reading, speaking, history, science, social studies, vocabulary, debate, immersion and writing. • Catered lesson plans to multiple learning styles. Utilized differentiated teaching to ensure that students remained engaged throughout lessons. • Successfully tutored and led students in nationwide debate and speech competitions. Student Teacher, Belfountain Public School-Belfountain, ON 2012 • Taught Ontario curriculum to students. Along with an emphasis upon literacy and math, at this school there was a mandate to interrelate these subjects to the outside environment due to the rural location of the school. • Classroom was not ethnically diverse but skill levels varied quite a bit. Hence, I had to ensure material was taught in such a manner that it would be comprehended by all students. • Organized an Underground Railroad expedition, underground stage play and assisted in other excursions. Also, coached the elementary basketball team. • Tutored students struggling with math after school, which were highly successful sessions as they led to improvement. Prepared students for EQAO testing. Student Teacher, Robert J Lee School-Brampton, ON 2011 • Taught Ontario curriculum to students. An emphasis was made upon differentiated learning, literacy, math and building a routine. • Used different classroom management techniques to keep students engaged whilst ensuring that they learnt within a creative atmosphere. • Taught a very diverse class which consisted of behavioural and ESL students. |
