강사 소개 Dear Hiring Committee,

I am interested in a teaching employment. I am a Canadian citizen holding a Korean F6 Visa. I graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a Bachelor of Education in the Elementary years with a concentration in Kindergarten curriculum.

My passion to work with young children has led me to volunteer and work in various educational institutions. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues on various occasions for several events and activities. I have also utilized my choir experience of 10 years to occasionally lead a kindergarten choir in my practicum and co-conduct at a church choir in Vancouver. I strongly value parent communications and have collaborated with parents on different occasions. Knowing Mandarin has allowed me to develop a stronger professional rapport with my students and their parents. My interest in attending to students whose language is not English has led me to attain a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) certificate and to work at a language learning center in Vancouver. I strive to meet the needs of individual students by implementing various best practices that I have learnt in my course work and professional development workshops. Through my practicum experience, I have developed various classroom management skills which have led to my success in the program. Using music and play is one technique that I use to teach my students. I have used various programs such as Heidi Songs’ Singable Songs for Letters and Sounds, to help my students learn the alphabet and sight words through phonics and movement. During my practicum, I also combined this wonderful program with SMART board lessons that I created. My enthusiasm in working with young children created an opportunity for me to pursue a concentration in the Kindergarten/Primary years which has led me to complete an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate in Kindergarten Instruction.

It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability, to be a compassionate and enthusiastic teacher who will make a positive contribution.

I look forward to the prospect of meeting you in person to discuss my qualifications in further detail. Thank you kindly for your consideration.
