강사 소개 | My name is Reid Hala, and I am eagerly seeking employment as an English teacher in Asia. I have long had a passion for learning about various languages and cultures, which is why I studied Languages & Linguistics to begin with. I recently completed certification in the TESL program at the University of Saskatchewan, with the goal of turning my passion into a career. In terms of experience, I taught an adult ESL class for one month as part of my TESL practicum, in addition to spending four months as a teaching assistant in another adult ESL class in Saskatoon, Canada. I also taught a tutorial for a university-level German class. I have a great deal of intercultural experience: I volunteered with the International Student and Study-Abroad Centre at the University of Saskatchewan, where I helped exchange students to get settled and accustomed to Canadian culture; I also studied in Germany for six months as part of my bachelor’s degree, where I learned a great deal about cross-cultural interaction and communication. I am very curious to learn more about Korean culture and language, and I feel that teaching English would be a fun and rewarding way to learn about Korea while sharing my own language and culture with students. |
