강사 소개 | Jessica C Neumann Cover Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
This letter is in regard to my interest in being considered for a position with your company/school. As a NET (Native English Teacher) with three years of public school teaching experience, I believe myself to be a strong and well qualified candidate. I believe I can be a great future asset as a member of your staff.
I spent my Kindergarten through Grade 12 in Catholic preparatory schools in Maryland in the U.S.A. I then finished my education with a B.A. in English (with a focus in English Literature and Literary Theory) from Drexel University.
For the past three years I have been teaching at The Sosabul Elementary School in Pyeongtaek (평택) , Gyeonggi-Do (경기도). I am in charge of planning and leading eighty-minute lessons that are aimed to encourage students to speak, listen, read and write in English. My personal teaching philosophy is that “rapport is essential”. As a teacher of two hundred plus students I always make it my goal to learn all of the students by name so they feel a connection to me beyond ‘English Teacher’. I learn about their likes, dislikes, and what’s popular with their age group to make English more relatable to them. I will find pictures of popular KPOP idols to describe looks, or hide Pokemon cards around the classroom and instruct them to write me directions. I feel that this is my greatest benefit as a Native English teacher: someone who wants to connect beyond just teaching English at the students, and really get them to engage with English.
My resume does state that I have mainly been focused on teaching fifth grade with some first and second grade, and third through sixth grade as well. I want to be understood that I am willing to work with all ages and levels and would be happy to do so. I am willing to make any such adjustments to age, or skill level which is necessary.
I believe my hard work ethic, experience, and love for teaching and interacting with children makes me an ideal candidate for your program. I want to thank you for taking the time to read this cover letter, and looking at my resume. I hope to hear from you soon.
Very Sincerely,
Jessica C Neumann |
강의경험 | 강의경력 있음 (3년 경험) |
경력사항 | I am currently finishing my third year of teaching in Korea.
I have taught for three years at the same public elementary school in Pyeongtaek.
I teach mainly fifth grade during the regular school year as well as first and second daycare three times a week. Twice a year I teach seasonal camps for third through sixth grade as well.
I am in charge of leading eighty minute classes which include the following: leading the class, making PPTs adapting the lesson plan from the book, making games, making (listening, writing, speaking, reading) activities etc.
Although I don't have any experience with Kindergarten in Korea, I did act as a Teacher's Aide for Kindergarten during both of my "community service" hours for high school and college (both of my school's required a certain amount of community service hours to graduate). |
