| 강사 소개 | To Whom it May Concern : I am writing to express my interest in applying for the position of teaching English. Your website describes the need for capable English teachers who are enthusiastic, hardworking, and honest. Because this task requires individuals to be enthusiastic, hardworking, and honest, I am confident that I will prove to be a great asset to your school. My experience studying abroad at Yonsei University while majoring in Political Science at Linfield College has provided the relevant cultural experience to be a competent English teacher, as well as possessing the first-hand knowledge of what living in a foreign country is like. Through my study abroad experience, I became familiar with the Korean culture, and language. I fell in love with and became inspired by the people and culture. My professors at Yonsei were instrumental in helping me succeed in my studies, and instilled a desire to give back to the Korean people. My love, appreciation, and desire to give back to the Korean culture inspires me to pursue a career teaching English with your organization. For my Political Science internship of 2012, I conducted research on material relating to law,, a task that required me to critically analyze documents, and communicate effectively through writing and oral presentations. As Historian on Executive Council for Zeta Tau Alpha, I was in charge of communication with companies who had contractual relationships with my organization. My communication skills benefited this position because I was able to effectively problem-solve through communication and professionalism. I have also helped in classroom settings and assisted teachers with reading, homework, and writing and have tutored middle school aged children with their school work. I am enrolled in an online TEFL certification course for teaching English. In addition to the online course, I am an English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor for students at Eastern Oregon University. I have also presented on study abroad experiences at Linfield College for incoming freshmen, and joined a mentoring group for exchange students through the International Programs Office. I have all the necessary materials to obtain a working visa, which includes a current passport, apostilled criminal background check, and a notarized copy of my Bachelor’s Diploma from the State of Oregon. I have provided a brief resume of my professional, academic, and leadership experience and contact information of personal and academic references.
