| 강사 소개 | Dear Hiring Committee, My name is Sadia Abdul, and I am pleased to apply for an English teaching position in South Korea. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree as a Global Ambassador Scholar at the Korean Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management, and I bring a strong background in teaching, academic support, and youth development across diverse cultural settings. I have direct classroom teaching experience from my internship at Government Girls Middle School Thingdass in Gilgit, Pakistan, where I taught English to primary and middle school students. I delivered lessons focused on grammar, reading comprehension, writing skills, and spoken English, designing activities that built confidence and improved communication skills. In addition, I have conducted English language and speaking workshops in collaboration with the Aga Khan Rural Support Program, working with underprivileged children in northern Pakistan. These workshops deepened my commitment to inclusive education and strengthened my ability to engage diverse learners. I also have experience in higher education as a Teaching Assistant for the course “Participatory Approaches to Community Development” at Habib University. In this role, I supported faculty with lesson preparation, facilitated group discussions, guided students through assignments, and provided academic mentoring. Alongside this, my professional role in the First Year Experience program involved organizing workshops, orientation sessions, and community-building activities for incoming university freshmen, further developing my skills in communication, curriculum support, and student engagement. My international experiences, including completing one year of high school in the United States through the Kennedy-Lugar YES Program and spending a summer in Kenya with the Global Encounters Program—shaped my global mindset and strengthened my intercultural communication abilities. These experiences help me connect naturally with students from different backgrounds and create a welcoming learning environment. Outside of my academic and professional work, I am passionate about reading books, especially literature and global issues. Reading not only inspires my teaching style but also helps me bring creative discussions and storytelling into the classroom an approach that motivates students to express themselves confidently in English. With a combination of teaching experience, academic support work, and strong cultural adaptability, I am eager to contribute to your school as an English educator.
